Trump's Family Member Receives Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete boasts impressive online presence
Kai Trump will have numerous well-known supporters when she makes her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns multiple courses worldwide and often plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa essentially suggested to play and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments this year and has the 461st position in AJGA listings.
But she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He stands as the best player globally," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's an even better human being. He advised me to play, relax, following the flow."
The golfer will compete against some of most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that her participation helps introduce golf to new audiences, especially reaching youth audiences.
The social media influencer boasts a massive following and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle brand.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
