Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Game at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years since relocating for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht next month at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at Estadio OlĂmpic LluĂs Companys.
