"As an answer to this substantial progress, the tobacco business is pushing back with novel nicotine devices, actively aiming at adolescents. Authorities must act more rapidly and stronger in applying tested tobacco-control regulations," he continued.

The vaping figures are an approximation since some states - 109 in all, and numerous in African and South-East Asia - do not gather data.
